Learning Objectives
After completing this enduring material, the participant should be able to:
- Recognize during an evaluation of an injured worker any pyschological, physical or medication issues (“yellow flags”) that would indicate a biophychosocial chronic pain problem needing comprehensive, interdisciplinary treatment.
- Address common questions/concerns expressed by patients when it is recommended that they be treated in an interdisciplinary functional restoration program.
- Discuss and implement proper medication changes during an interdisciplinary treatment program.
- Review and rank order the categories of expected improvement following interdisciplinary treatment of an injured worker.
- Discuss and categorize expected levels of physical capacities with patients and work comp carriers after completing fce at end of program.
