Learning Objectives
After completing this enduring material, the participant should be able to:

• Distinguish between traumatic and non-traumatic spinal cord injury and how it impacts course of treatment and long term management
• Determine the level of spinal cord injury using established motor and sensory assessment scales and tools
• Outline the principles of acute management of spinal cord injury
